Did you knows – Rd 1


Kieran Moors scored a duck on debut to become the 128th player to achieve this feat after scoring 0 against Belmont in the tops.


Did you knows – Rd 2


Lachy ‘Chunky’ Ashton took 5/13 in the tops against Lesmurdie which his 4th ‘5 for’ for the club.


Charlie Mitchell played his 50th game for the club when he played against Lesmurdie in the tops. He scored 15 runs.


Daniel Whitehurst scored his highest score for the club with 62 runs in the 2nds against Belmont.


The 3rds won on the last ball of the game against Leederville, with the scores tied with 1 ball left in the game Will Rogers was dropped and the boys ran 2 runs to win the game.


Jake Kenagy scored 52no on debut in the 3rds against Leederville. Just 32 players have scored over 50 runs on debut with 820 players having played for Scarborough.


Did you knows – Rd 3

Kieran Moors managed to start his Scarborough career with an ‘emergency services’ (3 ducks in a row).


The 3rds had a terrible start to their match against Midland after being 3/0 in the first over the match, however they recovered thanks to Lee ‘Pommie’ Fryer and Dave ‘Spana’ Spencer with a 73 run partnership and the team managed to score 6/199 and win the game.


Alex Ninkov took his 100th wicket for the club after taking 1/14 against Lesmurdie in the 3rds.


Mark ‘Sheff’ Sheffield hit his highest score for the club with 94 runs in the 4ths against Lesmurdie, surpassing his previous best of 41 scored last season.


The 4ths lost their last game of the season by just 3 runs against Coolbinia-WP whilst being 2 players short, with Craig ‘El Grotto’ Groth left 28no at the end.


Did you knows – Rd 4


Lachy ‘Chunky’ Ashton scored his 2,000th run for the club during his innings of 64 against Dianella.


Did you knows – Rd 6


Thomas Osterberg hit his highest score for the club with 75 runs against Floreat in the 2nds, this surpassed his previous best of 71 runs scored last season.


Thomas Osterberg managed to just miss having a ton taken off his bowling when he was taken for 98runs off his 8 overs in the 2nds match against Floreat.


Did you knows – Rd 7


Dave Tomkins took his 3rd 5 wicket haul for the club with 6/106 against AusInd in the 2nds.  This surpassed his previous best figures of 5/16 taken last season


Dave ‘Spanna’ Spencer scored his 11th century for the club with 110 runs in the 3rds against Leederville. He now holds the club century record outright after sharing the record with John ‘Maca’ McNamara on 10 centuries each.


Did you knows – Rd 9


Ryan “Ryno’ Walker in his annual Christmas fixture managed to be taken apart to the tune of 27 runs off an over in the tops loss to Dianella.  This was just short of Lou Mitchell’s record of 30 runs conceded against Floreat in 16/17.


The 2nds have now lost 11 games in a row stretching back to last season, which is a record losing streak for this team, passing the previous worst of 10 games in a row from the SF in 1996/97 to Rd 8 in 1997/98.


The 3rds lost on the last ball of the game with scores tied against Midland, the Midland batsman hit the last ball for 2 runs to just get over the line chasing down 220.


Joel ‘Budge’ Norman scored his highest score for the club with 82 runs in the 3rds narrow loss against Midland. He also managed to hit just his 2nd ‘Dorothy Dix’ in the past 10 seasons during his innings.



Club Leaders  – After Rd 9


Dave ‘Spanna’ Spencer is the clubs leading run scorer with 412 runs. (Record is 883 runs by Dixie Joy in 04/05 & Dave ‘Spanner’ Spencer in 14/15)


Lachy ‘Chunky’ Ashton is the clubs leading wicket taker with 19 wickets. (Record is Sam Ward with 49 wickets in 04/05).


Mark ‘Sheff’ Sheffield is the clubs leading fielder with 14 dismissals. (Record is Steve ‘Locky’ Lockwood with 37 dismissals in 03/04).


Lachy ‘Chunky’ Ashton is the clubs leading all rounder with 529 points this season. (Record is Greg ‘Grinnas’ Dimery with 1157 points 07/08)


Jake Kenagy is the club leader in the duck trophy with 5 ducks. (Record is 7 ducks by Barry ‘AJ’ Brooks in 99/00).
