Roger “Big Boy” Smith took 5/27 in the 2nds, this is his 7th “5 wicket in an innings” haul for the club and 3rd this season.

Micky “I’m getting married” Taylor took 5/39 in the 4ths, this is his 2nd “5 wicket in an innings” haul for the club and 1st this season.

The 2nds won their 11th game in a row, and have continued breaking the record of 8 wins in a row achieved in 92/93.

The 4ths team on the weekend was the most experienced premiership team for the club with an average age of 41.5 years and 126 games played!

The 2nds record in grand finals now stand at 3 wins from 6 appearances and the 4ths grand final record is now 4 wins from 6 appearances.

The 4ths made history by becoming the first Scarborough team to win a premiership from 4th on the ladder.

Garry “Chocko” Powell played in his club record 8th grand final with Steve “Locky” Lockwood 2nd in line after making his 7th Grand Final appearance to equal Haywood “H” Lewis also with 7.  Keith Manea has played in a grand final every year since joining the club in 02/03 with a record of 3 premiership wins and 3 losses!!

Keith Manea, Andrew “Atko” Atkins and Steve “Locky: Lockwood have now joined Andrew “Billy” Billington as the premiership leaders for Scarborough with 3 each.

There were plenty of premierships droughts broken over the weekend with club stalwarts Garry “Choco” Powell having played 206 games since his last premiership and Chris Gray 199 games.  Choco narrowly passed Mark “Bero” Berich’s record of 205 games between premierships.  Roger “Big Boy” Smith 163 games and Joel “El presidento” Norman 155 games both played in their first premierships for the club.  Big Boy narrowly missed Adam “Quokka” Quinn’s record of 164 games before his first premiership!!

Mark “Junior” Senior continues to hold the records of 230 games since his last premiership, which was in 91/92.  Mark “Jaws” Woods holds the record of 177 games without ever winning a premiership.

James "JC" Cornish finished as the club leading run scorer in finals with 95 runs (record was 145 with Chris Wood in 93/94).

Ian “I really can bat” Jones was the club leading wicket taker in finals with 13 wickets (record was 15 with Dave “Huge Arse” Hughes in 01/02).

Garry “Choco” Powell was the clubs leading fielder in finals with 6 dismissals (record was 9 also with Garry “Choco” Powell in 90/91)

Ian “I really can bat” Jones finished as the clubs leading all rounder in the finals with 154 points (record is 210 with Rob McCready in 90/91).

Ian “I really can bat” Jones took 5/46 in the 4ths, this is his 2nd “5 wicket in an innings” haul for the club and 2nd this season.

The 4ths team on the weekend is what you call very experienced with an average age of 42.5 years and 156 games played, including 3 players who have played over 350 games!

The 1sts overall finals record now stands at 10 wins from 21 games played.  The 4ths records is now 10 wins from 18 games.

The 2nds record in grand finals is 2 wins from 5 appearances with the last victory being in 06/07.  The 4ths grand final record is 3 wins from 5 appearances with the last victory being in 04/05.

The 4ths will have their work cut this weekend as no Scarborough team has ever won a premiership from 3rd or 4th on the ladder.

Garry “Chocko” Powell will be lining up for his club record 8th grand final with Mark “Bero” Berich and Steve “Locky” Lockwood in line for their 7th Grand Final appearance.  Incidentally Chocko has won only 1 premiership and that was with the 2nds way back in 92/93!!

Roger “Bad Man” Smith got reported in the 2nds for ‘Man Handling’ another player. He is the first SMCC Player to be reported in a Final. Well Done Rog. On a side note he got ‘reprimanded’ and is free to play in the 2nds Grand Final.

The 2nds won their 9th game in a row, and have now broken the record of 8 wins in a row achieved in 92/93.

Dave ' I've got a convertible and young chicks dig it' Spencer smashed his 1st century for the season with 126 in the 2nds.  This is his 2nd century in just his 23rd game for the club. In some of the best clean hitting seen in a long time, ' I've got a convertible and young chicks dig it' hit a record equalling 12 sixes in his innings to equal Shane Exell’s record from 99/00 and also equalled Gordon Bowman’s record of 30 runs in an over from 95/96.  Dave hit the first 5 balls of the over for six before the bowler sent the last ball miles down legside to deny him a unique record.  This is also his highest score for the club beating the 101 he scored last season.

Shane Scott scored 69 in the 2nds which is his highest score for the club beating his previous best of 54 scored last season.

Andrew “Atko” Atkins took 6/54 in the 2nds which is his 7th “5 wicket in an innings” haul for the club and 3rd this season.

Peter “Slippery” Blanch took 6/51 in the 3rds, this is his 5th “5 wicket in an innings” haul for the club and 3rd this season.

Steve Jones scored his first “pair” for the club scoring a duck in both innings for the 3rds.

Greg "Grinners" Dimery finished as the club leading run scorer with 797 runs (record is 883 with Dixie Joy in 04/05).

James “JC” Cornish scored his 1st century for the season with 114 in the tops.  This is his 3rd century for the club in just his 33rd game and has taken his season tally to 487 runs. 

Greg “Grinners” Dimery scored 97 in the tops, this is the 2nd time he has been dismissed in 90’s this season.

“JC” and “Grinners” also made 191 for the 2nd wicket which is a 1st team record.  The previous 1st team record was 168 between Keith Kreibich and Justin Baker in 92/93.  The club record is 193 between Garry “Choco” Powell and Troy “Banjo” Brown in 06/07.

Stuart Gaby took 5/92 in the tops which is his first “5 wicket in an innings” haul for the club.

The 2nds won their 8th game in a row, and have now equalled the record of 8 in a row achieved in 92/93.

Peter “Slippery” Blanch had a weekend out in the 3rds, he scored 102 which is his 2nd century for the club and 2nd this season.  As well “Slippery” took 5/28, this is his 4th “5 wicket in an innings” haul for the club and 2nd this season.  This also included a hat trick, which is only the 5th time this has occurred for the club.  Incidentally this is not the first time someone has scored a hundred, taken 5 for, and a hat trick in the same game, with Andrew “Akko” Atkins achieving the feat in 05/06.

The 4ths lost by 1 run against Ferndale, the previous time this happens was the 4ths in 04/05 against Karrinyup.

Adam “Axe Murder” Ballucci scored his 2nd century for the season with 114 in the 2nds and has taken his season tally to 452 runs.

Andrew “Akko” Atkins took his 2nd “5 for” this season with 5/45 in the 2nds.  This is Akko’s 6th “5 for” at the club.

The 2nds won their 6th game in a row, they are now chasing the record of 8 in a row achieved in 92/93.

Andrew “Akko” Atkins as captain is currently on winning streak of 21 games. He last lost as captain in Round 13, 05/06 (11&18/2/06) and since then he has Captained 21 wins without a loss. 

With the “Greengrocer” umpiring the 5ths on the weekend, an amazing 72 wides were recorded.  34 were bowled by Scarborough and 38 bowled by Coolbinia-WP!!!  This was the most wides since 62 wides were bowled in the 5ths between Scarborough and Perth Greens in 91/92.

Mark Steven scored his 3rd hundred for the club with 127 in the tops, this was achieved in just his 18th game for the club.

Mark Steven and Greg “Grinners” Dimery had a partnership of 173 for the 1st wicket in the tops, this broke the previous record for the tops of 169 scored in 94/95 by Brad Michaelides and Justin “JB” Baker.  The overall club record is 240 runs achieved by David “Normy” Stoate and Steve “Locky” Lockwood in the 2nds in 91/92.  Incidentally “Normy” Stoate was at the tops on the weekend watching this great partnership.

Andrew “Billy” Billington has scored consecutive 50’s with 62 runs in the 3rds.

Dave “Huge Arse” Hughes almost suffered a nose bleed when he batted at no 6 in the 3rds, the perennial No 11 has not batted that high since 04/05 when he batted no 5 in the 2nd innings of a game.

Chris Kane scored his first 50 for the club with 62 runs in the 5ths, this was achieved in his 65th game for the club and beat his previous best of 44 runs.

Greg "Grinners" Dimery is the club leading run scorer with 411 runs.

Roger “Big Boy” Smith is the clubs leading wicket takers with 26 wickets.

Chris “Louisville Slugger” Bodycoat and Greg “Drug runner ” Davis are the clubs leading fielders with 12 dismissals each.

Steve Jones took 6/5 in the 3rds on the weekend.  This is his 3rd “5 wicket in an innings” haul for the club.  He took 9/37 for the match.  This is his career best bowling figures.

Daniel “SOC” Powell hit 14 boundaries in his score of 60 in the 3rds, he managed to jog thru for 4 singles though!!

Andrew “Billy” Billington scored 64 in the 3rds which is the first time he has passed 50 since hitting 101no against Karrinyup in the tops in 2001/02.

Matt “Mr Cricket” Scales scored his highest score for the club with 17 runs in the 5ths.

Scotty “G Train” Granville score his highest score for the club the previous week with 37 runs in the 5ths.

Mick “Fish” Fisher had bowled 6 overs for 27 runs in the 5ths the previous week when his last 2 overs went for 46 runs to end up with 8 overs for 73 runs!!  One over went for 27 runs and included 3 sixes!!  Hitting like that hadn’t been experienced since Sammy “I Quit” Ward was spanked by Leederville in 03/04 to the tune of 48 runs in his last 2 overs.

The club won all 5 games on the weekend which is the 2nd time this has happened this season and the 17th time overall.  This is also the first time this happened in consecutive weeks!!
