The committee is now calling for
captain nominations for the 1st and 2nd
teams only.
Presently we expect to have our 1st
team playing in 1st Grade and our 2nd team
playing in 3rd Grade.
Nominations close on Wednesday 6th
August. Notification of captains will be made after this date.
Nominations for the remaining teams
will be called for closer to the commencement of the actual
season.

married in May 08 to his sweetheart Erin.



Dave Hughes is delighted
to announce the
birth of Harriet Ann
Hughes on 10/4/08 at 2.01 pm.
She weighed in at 3450 gms (7lb 9oz) and 52 cm in length. Everyone
here is all healthy and doing well.

Roger “Big Boy” Smith
took 5/27 in the 2nds,
this is his 7th “5 wicket in an innings” haul for the
club and 3rd this season.
Micky “I’m getting
married” Taylor took 5/39
in the 4ths, this is his 2nd “5 wicket in an innings”
haul for the club and 1st this season.
The 2nds won their 11th
game in a row, and have continued breaking the record of 8 wins in a
row achieved in 92/93.
The 4ths team on the weekend was the
most experienced premiership team for the club with an average age
of 41.5 years and 126 games played!
The 2nds record in grand finals now
stand at 3 wins from 6 appearances and the 4ths grand final record
is now 4 wins from 6 appearances.
The 4ths made history by becoming the
first Scarborough team to win a premiership from 4th on
the ladder.
Garry “Chocko” Powell
played in his club record 8th grand final with
Steve “Locky” Lockwood
2nd in line after making his 7th Grand Final
appearance to equal
Haywood “H” Lewis
also with 7.
Keith Manea
has played in a grand final every year since joining the club in
02/03 with a record of 3 premiership wins and 3 losses!!

as the premiership leaders for Scarborough with 3 each.
There were plenty of premierships
droughts broken over the weekend with club stalwarts

having played 206 games since his last premiership and
Chris Gray
199 games.
Choco narrowly passed
Mark “Bero” Berich’s
record of 205 games between premierships.
Roger “Big Boy” Smith

Norman 155 games both
played in their first premierships for the club.

Adam “Quokka” Quinn’s
record of 164 games before his first premiership!!
Mark “Junior” Senior
continues to hold the records of 230 games since his last
premiership, which was in 91/92.
Mark “Jaws” Woods
holds the record of 177 games without ever winning a premiership.

finished as the club leading run scorer in finals with 95 runs
(record was 145 with
